Job Summary
Oversee Wendy's Wonderful Kids recruiters administering a child-focused recruitment model to match children with prospective adoptive families. Approve monthly database submissions, assign cases, and ensure sufficient documentation maintains accurate written records. Conduct assessments of child and family life situations to determine abuse or neglect presence, then compose court reports and testify when necessary. Manage training plans for new staff, review recruitment plans monthly, and provide bi-annual reports to Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Ensure 24-hour on-call support is available for caregivers, delivering crisis intervention as required. Schedule staff, approve time off and overtime, and manage unit budgets while traveling up to 95% of the work week. Maintain collaborative relationships with courts, community groups, and the assigned Program Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Reside within Bexar County or the direct surrounding areas
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Child Welfare or related field
- 4 years full time child placing experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Ability to provide own transportation
- Proof of current automobile insurance
- Trainings/Licensure/Certifications as required by SJRC Texas/Belong
- Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and walk briskly
- Stamina to work long days and drive long distances
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 60 pounds
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Dexterity to remain calm and adapt to fast paced and emotional environments
- Travel is required for this position, up to 95% of the work week
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Child Welfare or related field
- 2 years' supervisory experience in the administration of a Permanency Services program or the equivalent
- Licensure of LMSW
