Job Summary
RN Resident in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program for new graduates with less than 6 months of RN experience. The role focuses on patient-centered care, applying the nursing process, and developing clinical skills under supervision. Core responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care; coordination with interdisciplinary teams; bedside shift reporting, rounds, and patient-family education. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure upon hire (compact or single-state), BLS, and BSN preferred, with opportunities to engage in specialty/service line onboarding and monthly NRP sessions. Open to candidates for Wellstar Health system in Augusta, GA metro area (Grovetown and Augusta, GA) with on-site clinical responsibilities and structured professional development through the nurse residency track.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
- BLS - Instructor
- Registered Nurse licensure (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
- Less than six months of nursing experience
- Participation in RN Residency program (12 months) or equivalent orientation plan
