Job Summary
Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and critical thinking to deliver individualized patient care. Provide patient and family-centered care that adapts service delivery to population characteristics and cultural diversity, partnering with patients and significant others to set goals and update care plans. Coordinate care through effective partnerships while upholding Wellstar Standards of Care, the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Complete the 12-month Nurse Residency Program under the direct supervision of Unit Managers, Preceptors, and Professional Nurse Educators to strengthen clinical skills and professional role transition. This 12-month program supports new graduate RNs with less than six months of experience in the Augusta and Grovetown locations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Less than six months of experience as a Professional Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification
- Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact license
