Job Summary
RN Resident position within Wellstar Medical College of Georgia Nurse Residency Program for July/August 2026 graduates. The role supports new graduates with less than 6 months professional RN experience, providing patient-centered nursing care, applying the Nursing Process, and participating in program sessions and onboarding to develop nursing practice, critical thinking, and collaboration with unit-based leaders, educators, and preceptors across Augusta and Grovetown areas. Core responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, along with bedside shift reporting, interdisciplinary rounds, patient teaching, and alignment with Standards of Care and ANA Code of Ethics. The program spans 12 months with structured onboarding, specialty onboarding sessions, and monthly NRP sessions; supervision by Unit Manager, Nurse Educator, Assistant Nurse Manager, and Preceptors.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- RN license (Single State) or RN Multi-state
- BLS Instructor certification
- Less than six months of nursing experience
- Nursing degree from accredited program (BSN preferred)
- All certifications required upon hire unless stated otherwise
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (BSN)
