Job Summary
Lead in-line safety-critical Wells Superintendent responsibilities for offshore wells across drilling, completion, and intervention on deepwater vessels, integrated platforms, and jack-up rigs in the North Sea/UKCS. Accountable for operational risk decisions, MoC/stop-work, barrier integrity, and HSSE performance, ensuring regulatory compliance under UK Safety Case and NSTA expectations. Drive safe, reliable well operations, integrate with Drilling/Completion/Intervention Engineering and multi-disciplinary teams, supervise contractor performance, and steer risk-based decision making in weather-constrained/SIMOPS environments while delivering project objectives, cost and schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a qualified engineering, science or technical field
- Well Control Certification for Drilling
- Ability to go offshore, including offshore medicals, certification and training
- Experience delivering well operations per SOR and performance expectations
- Experience managing service provider contractual relationships
- Experience drilling and completing challenging wells across deepwater, platform, and jack up environments
- Experience integrating engineering planning with operations execution and risk management
- Ability to balance multiple demands and priorities across teams and make timely decisions
- Strong HSSE leadership and communication skills
