Job Summary
Complete wellpointing operational support by hand jetting wells, dropping wellpoints, handling hoses, and operating jet pumps with intermittent supervision. Assemble system layouts, perform boot and clamp inspections, and conduct daily visual checks of jet pumps and trailers. Set up and tear down equipment, load and unload materials, and maintain pumps, compressors, and generators including refueling and minor repairs. Transport equipment using proper rigging and lift procedures while adhering to DOT requirements and safety standards. Enroll in internal CDL-A training and maintain all necessary paperwork. Work flexible schedules including long hours and overnight stays in extreme weather.
Required Qualifications
- 6-9+ months of experience as a Wellpoint Laborer
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license in state of residence and a clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Ability to obtain a CDL-A license without airbrakes
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Rigging and Signalperson Certification
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements including long hours and/or overnight stays away from home
- Ability to work in extreme weather
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
