Job Summary
Lead 1-2 hour social-emotional learning sessions for K-12 students across various sites using the Girls Inc. approved curriculum, adapting lessons to meet individual needs. Maintain a safe, clean environment while managing classroom behavior and building rapport with youth ages 5-18. Collaborate with program leadership to prepare materials, develop curriculum, and determine resource requirements. Administer pre/post test surveys, maintain attendance records, and participate in staff meetings to share ideas and meet organizational goals. Serve as a role model for students, staff, and volunteers, upholding the Girls Inc. Experience and ensuring high-quality program delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Formal education in field of Education, Psychology, Social Work, Recreation, Sociology, and/or Youth Development related field
- Reliable transportation to drive to and from sites
- Minimum of three years of experience working in education or a youth organization or related field
- Minimum of three years of curriculum development and evaluation experience
- Great interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport, create a safe environment for scholars, commit to the mission while establishing empathetic bonds with youth
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check and a Child Abuse & Neglect Check
- Ability to handle highly confidential information appropriately, exercise discretion as appropriate, and remain sensitive to individual situations and needs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to facilitate a classroom of up to 30 students
- Positive reputation and credibility among peers as a professional
- Ability to effectively interact with all with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientation, and to treat everyone with respect and dignity

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher
- Bilingual in Spanish
- CPR/ First Aid Certified
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
