Job Summary
Lead the complete fitness, health, and wellness experience at an assigned YMCA center by creating clear member pathways from onboarding through long-term engagement and ensuring timely follow-up for at-risk members. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate trainers, coaches, and staff while building professional development and accountability across personal training, partner training, small group training, and specialty wellness programs. Manage budgets, forecasts, staffing, pricing, and revenue growth; develop corrective action plans based on monthly dashboards tracking participation, conversion, retention, and program outcomes. Maintain facility readiness, uphold safety and confidentiality standards, and partner with Membership, Operations, and community organizations to deliver a connected, whole-person wellness experience. Serve as a leader in branch fundraising activities for the Annual Support Campaign.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Three or more years of progressive leadership experience in fitness, wellness, recreation, healthcare integration, membership engagement or a related field
- Experience supervising staff, managing budgets, growing programs and using data to improve results
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, sales-coaching and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Commitment to the YMCA mission, core values, inclusion and community service
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
- Nationally recognized personal training, wellness coaching or related credential preferred
