Job Summary
Lead the building in the absence of department heads by supervising the Wellness team and other departments to ensure person-centered care. Provide direct nursing care including medication passes, assist residents with mobility, and respond immediately to call lights and requests for assistance. Accurately complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents while exemplifying core values in every interaction. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with a schedule rotating between Monday and Wednesday from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing within state of employment
- thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations
- comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law
- knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents
- ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers
- ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall
- criminal clearance
- positive and energetic attitude
- ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents
Desired Qualifications
- experience in hands-on care of memory impaired residents
- experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
