Job Summary
Conduct regular health, functional, and psychosocial assessments for residents to evaluate their status and maximize their opportunity to remain in the assisted living environment. Initiate individualized service plans, oversee medication schedules, and audit records twice weekly to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and infection control guidelines. Maintain ongoing communication with families, physicians, and the care team while coordinating additional health services and facilitating OSHA training. Provide direct supervision of caregiving, assist with personal care tasks such as bathing and feeding, and fulfill on-call duties for staffing and emergency coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing License issued by appropriate state licensing agency
- First Aid certificate
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procurement manuals, etc.
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
- Must be able to understand and follow written and oral direction
- Must show good judgement in recognizing symptoms indicative of resident's change in condition
- Must have a First Aid certificate as required
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years' experience working with the elderly in an assisted living, skilled nursing or hospital environment
- Basic typing skills
- A working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software
