Job Summary
Wellness Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness, under the guidance of the Health and Wellness Director.Responsibilities include supervising day-to-day nursing activities of care staff (CNAs), monitoring residents’ health and safety, assisting in training and monitoring medication administration, maintaining clinical quality assurance per federal/state/local standards, conducting thorough resident assessments, and promoting the organization’s mission. Must hold an LPN license and have related nursing experience; comfortable with technology (MS Office) and able to perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current LPN license
- At least 2 years’ experience with long-term care, assisted living, home health or hospital setting preferred
- Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s or other related dementias
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations, and nursing practices, techniques and methods applied to health and wellness resident
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Physically able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
