Job Summary
Implement exercise standards and oversee wellness program documentation while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality. Ensure safety and proper progression for residents during classes, supervise Wellness Associates, and direct movement to recreational areas. Design incentive programs, educational initiatives, and new classes to cover all wellness pillars, collaborating with the Social Director to enhance community programming. Maintain diversity in offerings and educate participants on infectious disease prevention. Travel locally and out-of-state for conferences and training as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Certifications in CPR, AED, and Group Exercise
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards
- Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Local and out of state travel, including overnight stays, may be required from time to time to attend conferences, training, meetings, and professional development programs
Desired Qualifications
- College or university degree (preferably in Exercise Science or related field)
- Certifications from ACE, ACSM, AFAA, ASFA, NSCA or other nationally recognized and accredited fitness association
- Aquatic certification
- Three years' experience as a personal trainer
- Three years of exercise or wellness experience with seniors
