Job Summary
Conduct individual and group health risk evaluations, create new wellness plans with attention to detail, and measure outcomes. Deliver diet/nutrition and exercise instruction while maintaining Basic Life Support/CPR certification. Hold a required license as a Dietitian, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, or NETA Wellness Coach, plus group fitness instructor or yoga certification. Work 100% FTE Monday through Friday with flexible start times, earning shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years teaching or coaching experience or equivalent in the field of diet/nutrition or exercise
- Possess experience in creating and introducing new plans with attention to detail and functionality and outcome measurements
- Licensed Dietician, Registered Dietician Nutritionist, or NETA – National Exercise Trainers Association Wellness Coaching Certification
- NETA, ACE, or ASFA certified group fitness instructor certification or RYT 200 certification from a Yoga Alliance accredited school
- Basic Life Support/CPR Certification within 3 months of employment
- 100% FTE
- Mon - Fri 7:30a-4:00
- occasionally early or late start times (example 6:00a- 2:30p or 9:30a-6:00p)
- work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred degree to be in a related healthcare field (exercise physiology, dietician, nursing or other pertinent health care field)
- At least 2 years teaching or coaching experience or equivalent in the field of diet/nutrition or exercise
- Experience with individual and group health risk evaluations or testing
