Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day healthcare operations for community support services by supervising staff, conducting resident assessments, and initiating individualized service plans. Manage health care delivery through regular visits, ongoing communication with families and providers, and proactive quality care coordination. Order medications, audit records twice weekly, and ensure infection control protocols are met while performing on-site assessments for admitted residents. Handle staffing needs by interviewing, hiring, and supervising coordinators and medication assistance staff, including on-call coverage for emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing License issued by appropriate state licensing agency
- First Aid certification
- LPN or RN
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly in an assisted living, skilled nursing or hospital environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procurement manuals, etc.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral direction
- Basic typing skills
- Working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software
