Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the Wellness Department to ensure residents receive excellent physical and psychosocial care promoting dignity and choice. Monitor and assure quality in medication management, service provision, documentation, and physician order follow-through. Direct and supervise the medication program, including administration, while ensuring proper orders and labels. Hire, supervise, motivate, and evaluate department associates; plan, schedule, and assign work to ensure 24/7 coverage. Serve as a liaison with hospital personnel, physicians, and community organizations. Conduct pre-occupancy level of care evaluations, coordinate interdisciplinary service plan meetings, and manage move-ins with required documentation. Investigate incidents, identify safety hazards, and institute corrective action to maintain a safe environment. Maintain resident charts to assure compliance with state regulations and follow-up on dietary and pharmacy recommendations. Coordinate services with Home Health, Rehab, Lab, Podiatrist, and Hospice. Conduct new associate orientation and provide ongoing in-service training. Monitor care staff proficiency and complete clinical skills competency evaluations. Submit budget information and keep expenses within approved guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- LPN License
- Licensed nurse or certified to administer medications in the state where you work
- Minimum of two years experience in senior housing
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- High degree of interpersonal skills
- Capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities
- Considerable initiative

- Good physical health
- Free of communicable diseases
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing

Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Experience in an Assisted Living setting
