Wellness Counselor - NYU Tel Aviv

Job Summary
Provide professional counseling services to 50–100 students, offering daily walk-in hours and conducting workshops on self-care and resilience. Collaborate with the NYU Wellness Department, Student Life team, and faculty to deliver consultations and integrate wellness initiatives across campus programming. Maintain confidentiality while participating in weekly 1:1 meetings with department directors and attending team meetings as needed. Be available for emergency phone and in-person response after regular hours. This part-time role (two days per week) supports the university community through holistic mental, emotional, and physical well-being initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in clinical psychology (or LCSW)
- necessary license/accreditation to provide clinical counseling services in Israel
- Minimum of 4 years of post-licensure clinical experience
- Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and response
- Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or other evidence-based therapeutic modalities
- Strong empathy and cultural sensitivity, with particular understanding of the unique needs of international students
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
