Wellness Coordinator

Job Summary

Supervise Wellness staff to ensure quality resident care, compliance with CAPLICO Core Values, and adherence to HIPAA and state regulations. Provide direct nursing services, complete routine physical assessments, and monitor service/care plans to address resident needs. Coordinate community-wide staffing levels, lead recruitment and training for Wellness staff, and respond promptly to resident emergencies while maintaining infection control standards. Participate in team meetings to review care needs and engage in ongoing personal development in leadership and communication skills. Work in an on-call rotation with the wellness team. Requires CNA and CBRF qualifications in Wisconsin, minimum one year of assisted living experience, and current CPR certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must meet the minimum age requirements established by the state regulations governing the community
  • Must be of good moral character
  • Must be able to obtain criminal history clearance
  • Must comply with all training requirements
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
  • Must be in good standing with state and federal government
  • Have an obligation to inform your supervisor if you are on any government exclusion list
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Ability to be calm and level-headed in emergencies
  • Well groomed, professional and possess ability to work harmoniously with other personnel
  • Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing admission practices
  • Follow written and oral instructions
  • Knowledgeable in the use of computers, e-mail, spreadsheets and document word processing
  • Maintain patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as ability to handle residents, staff, and visitors, based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning
  • Have CNA qualifications in the state of Wisconsin
  • Have CBRF qualifications in the state of Wisconsin
  • Current license/certification as required by the regulatory bodies governing the community
  • Minimum of one year experience in assisted living or health care
  • Current CPR certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience in the health care environment
