Job Summary
Greet and assist members at the Wellness Center by providing orientations on exercise equipment safe practices and helping determine personal health goals. Continuously monitor facility activity, enforce posted guidelines, and maintain cleanliness while ensuring member safety and adherence to YMCA policies. Perform equipment inspections, document workout charts, and schedule follow-up appointments. Maintain positive relations with members and staff, attend required training, and report equipment issues to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement - 18 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- CPR, First Aid, & AED certifications required within 30 days of employment
- YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles certification within 60 days of employment
- Complete YMCA of the USA New Employee Orientation e-learning course
- Must be physically fit
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Foundations of YMCA Strength and Conditioning or YMCA Personal Fitness Program Director recommended
