Job Summary
The Wellness Coach will drive member growth and retention by nurturing authentic personal relationships, engaging members, and serving as the primary support for members using the wellness center. Responsibilities include conducting new member uFit sessions, supervising and encouraging members, tracking wellness progress, assisting with equipment use, ensuring health forms are completed, enforcing center policies, maintaining a clean and safe environment, reporting equipment issues, coordinating with the YMCA team, and promoting programs and services to enhance member involvement and wellbeing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen administration or obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong member engagement skills; outgoing personality and a desire to be helpful to others
- Must be able to stand for the majority of shift
