Wellness Coach/FMS Screener - Contractor

Job Summary
Conduct on-site fitness screenings including FMS, blood pressure, and body fat measurements following ACSM guidelines, then provide participants with guidance on mobility, exercise, injury prevention, and nutrition. Deliver virtual follow-up coaching covering blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes management while entering data to create FMS screening reports and corrective exercise programs. Requires FMS Level 1 or higher certification, three years of wellness testing experience, and CPR/AED certification. Travel up to 50% of the time across Crescent City, Fortuna, and Garberville in November.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field
- FMS Level 1 or higher certification (if experienced, ability to get certified upon hiring.)
- 3 years of experience providing wellness and fitness testing services and wellness coaching, preferably with first responders.
- Fitness testing experience (Functional Movement Screen etc.)
- CPR/AED certification
- Strong health & fitness knowledge
- Excellent computer skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
