Wellness Associate (Caregiver)

Job Summary
The Wellness Associate conducts resident-focused care in a senior living community, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, mobility) and monitoring residents’ health status. The role supports emergency responses, maintains medical supply inventories, assists with shift coverage, helps orient/new Wellness Associates, maintains and documents records, and supports meal service, laundry, and activity programs. Strong communication with Wellness Director/Manager is essential; physical tasks may include lifting up to 60 pounds and potential use of a Hoyer Lift. Weekend/holiday work and compliance with safety policies are typical, with background/criminal/drug tests as applicable. Current Nurse’s Aide registration is preferred but not required, and experience or passion in caring for seniors is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Current State Nurse’s Aide registration preferred but NOT REQUIRED
- experience and passion in working with seniors
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds
- ability to work weekends and holidays as assigned
- may be required to pass background, criminal, and drug tests
- may be required to submit to random drug testing
- may have picture used in social media or community advertising
