Job Summary
Wellness Associate (Caregiver) provides services to residents based on individual Resident Service Plans, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, mobility), monitoring health changes, maintaining medical supply inventories, aiding in shift coverage, orienting new staff, responding to emergencies with first-aid, assisting with housekeeping and meal/service needs, participating in activities, and maintaining records per policy. Requires effective communication with Wellness Director/Manager, adherence to safety procedures, and potential weekend/holiday shifts. Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, possible use of a Hoyer Lift, and readiness for background/drug tests and potential image use in advertising.
Required Qualifications
- Current State Nurse’s Aide registration preferred but NOT REQUIRED.
- Experience and passion in working with seniors.
- Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Able to maintain positive working relationships with Residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
- In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
