Job Summary
Wellness Assistant for the PACE program leads and assists with therapeutic activities to improve balance, endurance, and functional independence for older adults. Responsibilities include promoting strength and mobility through individualized and group exercise programming, monitoring participants’ responses, communicating progress to the interdisciplinary care team, and collaborating with therapy staff to support safe wellness interventions that enhance independence and quality of life. Requires empathy, teamwork, and the ability to engage participants in movement and healthy lifestyle habits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic caregiving or healthcare experience
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (dressing, mobility, transfers)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Physical ability to lift and safely transfer participants
- Ability to pass background checks and health screenings
