Job Summary
As a Welding Trainer at Accelevation, you will deliver hands-on welding training in our Houston, MS manufacturing plant and support welding training activities with travel to Ohio. You will create and deliver welding training for new trainee welders, provide constructive feedback as trainees progress through a four-week program, teach and enforce welding competency standards and assessments, partner with Operations to align training with production needs, maintain training documentation, perform maintenance on welding tools and machinery, support ongoing skill development for team members, and be available to support training across multiple shifts as needed. The role requires MIG welding experience, a coach mindset focused on teaching others, strong knowledge of welding processes in production settings, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Welding certifications (e.g., CWI) are a plus but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in MIG welding
- Coaching mindset and ability to teach others
- Strong technical knowledge of welding processes relevant to production environments
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence others; desire to teach and coach
- Experience partnering with Operations, Production, and Quality teams
- Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Welding certifications (e.g., CWI) are a plus but not required
