Job Summary
Fabricate and repair equipment using welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Dual Shield/Flux Core, Sub-arc) and determine the appropriate process based on repair type. Set up equipment, understand properties of various steels and welding metals, perform fabrication tasks such as line-boring, and adhere to safety and customer-care standards. May assist with training and participate in strategic programs; must be able to work overtime and communicate effectively in English. Proficiency or certification as a welder/fabricator of heavy equipment and familiarity with CAT equipment are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of high school diploma or GED
- Associate Degree preferred
- One year minimum welding and industry-specific machine work experience
- Ability to communicate in English
