Job Summary
Welding Technician responsible for fabricating custom event rental inventory to design specifications, operating metal shop machinery and hand/power tools, applying finishes, and performing repairs to maintain inventory quality. Role includes production planning to meet schedules, ensuring safety and quality standards, inspecting inventory before/after events, organizing materials, assisting with loading/unloading and installation at events, and coordinating with management on maintenance needs. Requires hands-on welding or fabrication experience, strong attention to detail, ability to read drawings or plans, familiarity with polishes/paints/protective finishes, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of professional welding, metalworking, or related fabrication experience
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- ability to read measurements and work from sketches, drawings, or plan designs
- experience safely and effectively using common metal shop machinery, hand tools, and power tools
- knowledge of polishes, paints, and protective finishes
- knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- reliable attendance and ability to meet production and event deadlines
- strong communication skills and professionalism when speaking with vendors and other third parties
