Welding Team Lead (Weekend)

Job Summary

Maintain on-the-floor manufacturing activities safely while ensuring quality requirements and EHS policies are met daily. Provide hands-on welding support for engineering projects, answer technical questions, and assist in restoring process flow. Manage Oracle transactions, IOTs, and cycle counts for material movement, then create and document standardized work practices. Train team members on troubleshooting techniques, report performance issues to the supervisor, and run the team from a process standpoint. Identify non-value-added waste to recommend cost-effective solutions, assist with Yamazumi creation, and handle rework components for Unishell and Hotbox production.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2-5 years Tungsten inert gas welding and pulse welding experience
  • Must demonstrate safe work practices
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing terminology principles
  • Experience creating standardized work
  • Experience completing station audits
  • Experience creating Yamazumi and production line set up
  • Experience completing process technician responsibilities
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Must be flexible to work fluctuating schedules
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift
  • Navigate the facility throughout the day
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs
  • Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift
  • Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials
  • Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff
  • Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications
  • Understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs)
