Welding Teacher responsible for developing a program of continuous progress in welding education, establishing clear objectives for classroom activities, employing instructional methods suitable for welding instruction, assessing student progress, coordinating with staff and volunteers, maintaining student records, and upholding district policies. Requires four years of hands-on welding experience and AWS certification (as a certified welder or welding educator or Archwelder B2.1 or D1.1) within the framework of state certification requirements; 190-day term; salary determined by district scale; duties include lesson planning, safety, student assessment, parent communication, and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Education and experience as required by state certification authorities
- Four years of hands-on work experience as a welder
- Complete American Welding Society (AWS) certification as a certified welder or a certified welding educator or Archwelder B2.1 or D1.1
