Job Summary
Welding Teacher responsible for developing and delivering a welding program within a district CTE framework. Duties include establishing objectives for classroom activities, employing effective instructional methods, assessing student progress, maintaining records, coordinating with staff and volunteers, communicating with parents, and upholding district policies. The role requires four years of hands-on welding experience and AWS certification as either a certified welder or a welding educator (or Archwelder B2.1 or D1.1).
Required Qualifications
- Education and experience as required by state certification authorities
- Four years of hands-on welding experience
- AWS certification as a certified welder or certified welding educator or Archwelder B2.1 or D1.1
- Ability to provide instruction, supervision, and assessment in welding
- Knowledge of classroom instruction and student progress assessment
- Ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff
