Job Summary
Oversee and train the hourly union welding workforce on the 2nd shift (3:30pm–11:55pm) in York, PA. Provide leadership, assign work, and ensure production, quality, and budget objectives for the department/shift. Establish shift work plans in line with contractual requirements and production schedules; supervise compliance with quality standards; train staff and upgrade skills; monitor performance and take corrective action as needed. Must possess working knowledge of GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW, GMAW-P, and GMAW and have strong blueprint-reading abilities.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing with an emphasis in weld, preferably in manufacturing environments similar to the company
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing
- Working knowledge of welding processes being supervised: GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW, GMAW-P, GMAW
- Ability to set up efficient workstations for upcoming jobs
- Excellent blueprint reading capabilities
- Strong leadership capabilities and skills
