Job Summary
The Welding Project Engineer will analyze and improve existing welding processes to increase efficiency and product quality. Key responsibilities include leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles, implementing standard work practices, partnering with Quality and Sales for vendor evaluation, and maintaining documentation of all technical processes. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have over 3 years of relevant project management experience.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on welding engineer with significant technical welding knowledge
- 3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to analyze and improve manufacturing, welding, and inspection processes
- Experience managing CAPEX and internal process improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Six Sigma certification
- TOC or formal lean manufacturing training
- ERP system (Syteline) proficiency
- Experience with job scheduling tools
