Job Summary
The Welding Process Specialist is a technical sales position responsible for developing selling expertise in welding processes and applications, interacting with commercial teams, and promoting Airgas products. The role requires building relationships with customers, understanding their welding needs, and utilizing sales tools to enhance sales and margin profitability. Key responsibilities include traveling to customer sites, providing technical knowledge, and promoting Airgas Shielding Gases and welding solutions. This position requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety advocacy in all operations. A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification and proven expertise in welding processes are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of welding processes and applications
- Demonstrated relationship management & consultative aptitude
- Knowledge of the principles of TQM, Lean and/or Six Sigma
- Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills; works well with others
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Welding Engineering Degree
- Prior technical sales experience
- Four years of prior welding industry experience
