Job Summary
Tank Lead oversees hands-on welding and fabrication operations for tank production, trains and supervises welders/fabricators, schedules tasks, performs complex welds and quality inspections, develops SOPs, and collaborates across departments to meet production goals while upholding safety and quality standards. Strong leadership, blueprint-reading, welding, and inspection skills required; must maintain safe work environment and manage time and performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial welding/fabrication experience including leadership responsibilities
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, welding techniques, and inspection standards
- Experience in a production or metal fabrication environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to welding and tank operations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
