Job Summary
As a Welding Instructor, you will lead hands-on training sessions and mentor students in skilled trades. Key responsibilities include teaching from pre-developed lesson plans, adapting to different learning styles, tracking attendance and grades, maintaining classroom cleanliness and safety, managing tools and equipment, supporting new instructor onboarding, assisting with curriculum updates and testing, and providing short-term tutoring. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in shop or lab environments. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and have 3-5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of hands on experience in the last 10 years of field taught
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Work in shop or lab environments
Additional Requirements
- 18 SCH of post-higher education (Jacksonville only)
