Job Summary
As a Welding Inspector, you will conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, review and interpret welding procedures, codes, and standards, identify and address welding defects, and maintain professional relationships with clients and contractors. This role emphasizes hands-on oversight and compliance, focusing on ensuring the integrity and safety of natural gas distribution projects through thorough inspections and quality assurance processes.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Philadelphia, PA
- Prior welding experience in gas pipeline construction or maintenance
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Enjoys working in the field and solving challenges in real-time
Desired Qualifications
- Certification such as CWI or CPWI
- Strong field experience
- Solid understanding of welding practices in utility environments
