Job Summary
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections on metal parts using provided equipment like tape measures and calipers. Verify parts against client drawings and documents, then prepare detailed reports recording results and non-conformities. Investigate identified issues by identifying causes and assisting with corrective actions while communicating effectively with welders and engineers. Witness NDE tests including UT, PT, MT, and RT to verify test reports. This one-month contract involves organizing paperwork and inspecting welds on pipelines, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers within Oil & gas or Power & Utility sectors.
Required Qualifications
- At least one of the following: AWS CWI or API 510
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years industrial welding-related inspection experience
- Five (5) of these years should be in Quality Assurance / vendor surveillance / shop inspections
- Industrial experience in Oil & gas / Power & Utility / Construction / Manufacturing, etc.
- experienced in inspecting welds on various manufactured products eg. pipelines, expansion joints, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other equipment
- experienced in witnessing NDE test (UT, PT, MT, RT, etc..) and verifying test reports
- Ability to communicate effectively with welders, engineers, and other personnel
- 5 days / week
- Up to 10 hrs / day (Monday to Friday)
