Job Summary
Welding Fabricator I responsible for welding and fabricating steel structural and sheet metal frames for environmental test chambers, including grinding, cutting, coping steel, constructing steel and sheet metal frames, assisting with job setup, performing TIG and MIG welding, reading blueprints, and maintaining a clean work area. Must regularly attend and work with hand and power tools, read multiple-step instructions in English, and demonstrate strong teamwork, problem solving, and safety practices in a 4-day work week with Friday overtime. Salary range $22.42–$24.06 per hour; benefits include a four-day schedule with overtime Friday and no mandatory weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Welding certificate preferred
- Ability to read prints
- Ability to read a tape measure
