Job Summary
Assist welders with setting up work areas and fixtures, ensuring welders have needed tools and materials (filler metal, grinding discs), and operating welding equipment (gas and electric) as well as grinders, torches, and magnetic drills. Maintain organized work areas, move rigs/fixtures between zones, transport parts with forklifts, and assist with fabrication tasks such as cutting, burning, drilling, and grinding. Maintain knowledge of metal types (carbon and stainless steel), identify safety risks, follow safety procedures, and ensure equipment/materials are available. May require workweeks in excess of 40 hours. Must meet the listed responsibilities and conduct as directed by production personnel.
