Job Summary

Prepare and deliver high-quality welding instruction in an applied learning environment, organizing daily classes with creative techniques tailored to diverse student needs. Facilitate activities and discussions that engage learners through targeted mentorship, while interpreting and administering assessments to provide constructive feedback on student growth. Develop course syllabi and instructional plans, integrate technology to enrich educational experiences, and ensure safety and equipment security within the instructional setting. Perform student advisement and collaborate with the Office of Student Success to support retention and placement. Participate in recruitment events and department planning, demonstrating TSTC Core values with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • previous welding experience
  • weld test to assess competency
  • demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity
  • willingness to be of service
  • exhibits pleasant and courteous behavior toward customers (students, parents, employers, and media), organizational coworkers, and other general public contacts
  • maintains flexibility, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignment
  • able to work effectively in a team environment
  • commitment to the mission, vision and values of the college
  • complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form
  • present acceptable and original documents to prove your identity and authorization to work in the United States
  • pass a criminal history background check
