Job Summary
Communicate Group Leader's directions to Team Members and coordinate activities to meet production schedules. Analyze work problems, recommend solutions to management, and assist members in resolving performance concerns. Maintain production records, report machine malfunctions to maintenance, and perform Team Member duties as needed. Train Team Members in departmental functions while monitoring welding processes and quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement and operational excellence within our automotive manufacturing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in automotive manufacturing with proven leadership in a high-volume production environment
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and supporting robotic welding systems
- Strong knowledge of MIG and resistance spot welding processes, weld quality standards, and blueprint interpretation
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop production teams while maintaining a safe, productive work environment
- Skilled in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and implementing corrective actions to improve quality, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams
- Proficient with manufacturing systems such as SAP, MES, Microsoft Office, and basic robotic programming
