Job Summary
Fit and weld parts according to customer specifications, reading blueprints and weld symbols while ensuring correct machine settings, shielding gas, and filler materials. Verify accurate dimensions using handheld measuring tools and maintain a clean working environment. Perform MIG and fillet welds, including 3G uphill and double V groove techniques, while strictly following all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Available for overtime and weekends as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Industrial Weld MFG experience
- Must be available to work Overtime and Weekends
- Must have at a minimum of 1 year of experience or training
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs
- Must be able to position welding apparatus in any position the work required
- Position requires ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals
- During On-Site Interview Physical Weld Testing must be acceptable
- Basic understanding of welding safety, tools, and techniques
- Simple MIG welding
- Fitting, Tack welding, basic welding, assisting experienced welders
- Proficient in MIG welding, and basic TIG welding processes
- Can weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical)
- Structural welding, pipe welding, blueprint reading, quality control
- AWS D1.1 will need to be obtained during interview process
- AWS D1.1 or similar
- High Precision welding, complex joint configurations, metallurgy knowledge
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding processes
- All-position welding on steel, aluminum, stainless steel
- SME, training, inspection, and custom fabrication
- AWS D1.1, AWS D1.3, AWS D1.2
- Ability to MIG / Fillet weld
- Ability to 3G uphill weld
- Ability to double V groove weld
- Ability to exude high energy, solution-based thinking, while focusing great attention to detail and maintaining a service-oriented disposition
- Ability to provide exemplary and consistent customer satisfaction, with a strong capacity for building relationships
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints, including weld symbols
- Ensure correct machine settings, shielding gas, weld position and filler material are used
- Use handheld measuring tools to verify accurate dimension and fit of parts to be welded and assembled
- Ensure proper set up of machine for each job
- Uses proper PPE and follows all safety procedures
- Responsibility for continually maintaining a clean working environment
