Job Summary
Fabricate stainless steel equipment for food processing by reading blueprints and engineering drawings to fit and weld assemblies and sub-assemblies. Operate gas torch and plasma equipment, overhead cranes, and pneumatic hand tools while using fixtures, templates, and guides to ensure precision in MIG, TIG, and TIP/TIG welding. Complete written and practical weld tests contingent on passing to secure employment in this high-energy production environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school education, community college weld program, technical weld school, or equivalent experience
- Three years' experience in welding fabrication
- Basic GMAW and GTAW abilities
- Knowledge of gas torch and plasma equipment
- Overhead crane operations
- Pneumatic hand tools such grinders
- Able to use fixtures, templates, stops and/or guides
- Experience in MIG, TIG, and TIP/TIG welding
- Competence in reading and fully understanding manufacturing drawings
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to contribute to the team's performance
- Confidence with measurements, tolerances, and both imperial measurement and metric system
- Success completion of weld written and practical tests
- Success completion of pre-employment drug screen
- Success completion of criminal history check
- Success completion of social security check
- Success completion of reference check
