Welder Weekend/ Night Shift

Job Summary
Perform FCAW & SMAW welding to codes and standards at Veritas Steel's Palatka facility, including repairs and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Shop Supervisor. Maintain safety and high-quality workmanship while meeting production demands. Responsibilities include proper safety equipment use, preparing surfaces, air arc/grove welds/flex core/full pin, setting up and using hand torches, understanding weld symbols and gauges, maintaining shop/tools/equipment, coordinating with the shop supervisor and team, and adhering to safety policies. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, ability to read and comprehend English, and basic ability to read metric tapes; welding experience is preferred but not required. Weekend and night shifts are specified, with overtime provisions (double time after 50 hours). Knowledge of welding codes and safety culture emphasized; ability to work in indoor/outdoor warehouse environment with PPE requirements.
