Job Summary
Weld and fabricate heavy equipment and machinery components, including power unit skids, brackets, mounts, and piping; operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment; perform welding repairs on customer units and assist technicians with power-unit assembly; read and understand production drawings, blueprints, and work orders; maintain welding equipment and adhere to Health & Safety policies; requires Welding Technician Certification (Canadian Welders Bureau), 1-2 years experience, and additional certifications (Forklift Operator, Crane/Rigging); hydraulics/mechanical experience is a plus; standard health and wellness benefits package and ongoing training provided by Wajax.
Required Qualifications
- Welding Technician Certification, certified with Canadian Welders Bureau
- 1-2 years work experience in welding
- Forklift Operator certification
- Crane/Rigging certification
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to fabricate without drawings
- Hydraulic and mechanical experience is an asset
- Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions
- Maintain all required certifications
- Commitment to Health & Safety training and program
