Job Summary
Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural weld forms, including frames for assembly. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, shop orders, and bills of materials while working from sketches or verbal instructions. Perform precision TIG welding in various positions on stainless steel and other materials, configuring machines by selecting polarity, amperage, and shield gas flow rates. Operate metal fabrication power and hand tools for grinding, cutting, and finishing. Follow safe work practices and environmental health and safety policies. Coordinate activities with other job classifications and assist other departments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with TIG welding
- Ability to complete successful welds on the 6G position
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic mathematics skills
- Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for welding (welding helmet, gloves, etc.)
- Must be able to don PPE appropriate for working in Engineered Equipment including safety glasses and shoes
- Ability to operate metal fabrication power and hand tools such for grinding, cutting, finishing, etc.

- Able to demonstrate a successful TIG weld
- Ability to TIG weld stainless
