Job Summary
Perform visual and in-process inspections per API and ISO specifications while reading engineering drawings to guide component overlay using Tig and MiG methods. Execute weld repairs on Gas and Steam turbine parts, including setting up components within specific procedure parameters and detailing grinding after repairs. Work independently to meet production schedules, adhering to company safety, environmental, and quality policies. This 12+ month contract in Houston, TX, offers 6:00am to 2:30pm shifts with OT as needed and pays $22-26/hr on W2. The client is a global leader in ridesharing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent diploma
- 7+ year experience
- Experience of using foot control tig and MiG machines
- Experience of manual TIG
- Ability to weld many different types of components related to Gas and Steam turbine repairs
- Must be able to flex between first and second shift as needed
- Adhering to Company Safety and Environmental policies
- Adhering to Company quality procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Preference would be to have experience with SMAW & GMAW welding procedures
- Advanced degree can be substituted for experience
