Job Summary

Trainer of welders to meet API1104 standards, set up and adjust welding machines to produce quality parts, review blueprints with welders prior to startup, conduct quality tests and welding inspections, maintain and operate welding equipment including cranes, forklifts, grinders and plasma cutters, perform routine equipment adjustments to ensure proper penetration and weld profiles, and manually weld production parts as directed. Must hold welding certifications as applicable, pass welding certification tests, lift up to 35 pounds, work up to 10 hours per day including weekends, possess a valid driver’s license, and undergo background checks and drug screening. Emphasizes teamwork and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be qualified and previous experience as a Certified Welder or its equivalent, either in position or be certified by a technical institute
  • Must be able to pass all of the applicable Welding Certification Tests per Company Welding Policy
  • Able to lift 35 pounds, consistently
  • Ability to work 10 hours per day and weekends as required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Background check and drug-screen are required
  • Must know how to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, handheld grinders, plasma cutters and other welding equipment within the department
  • Must be able to satisfactorily use calipers, tape measures, welding gauges, and other measuring devices
  • Must be able to work as a team
