Job Summary
Set up and operate welding machines to weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum based on blueprints. Inspect welded parts to ensure quality and adherence to plans while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Operate forklifts as needed and communicate machinery or quality issues to management. Requires minimum 5 years of MIG welding experience, blueprint reading skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. First shift opportunity with pay up to $28/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficiency in shop math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to determine material types and gauges
- Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- AWS D1.1, D1.6, D1.2 certifications
- Ability to use shop tools (grinders, band saws, calipers, plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches)
