Job Summary
Conduct TIG welding on complex assemblies to meet station planning and customer specifications. Set up weld fixtures and tooling to prepare for production, then use metal finishing tools, calipers, micrometers, and pneumatic grinders to achieve precise product finishes. Print station plans, record throughput, and complete manufacturing orders accurately while maintaining safety standards and daily 6S assignments. Operate overhead cranes, resistance welders, and vise clamps to assemble components, ensuring all work follows company and customer specifications. Work the 1st shift (6:00am - 3:30pm) on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of welding in the aerospace industry
- TIG welding experience
- Must have welding certification or be working toward
- Ability to understand and follow company and customer specifications
- Ability to regulate controls associated with all equipment utilized
- Ability to operate Pneumatic hand grinders, basic hand tools, overhead crane, welders, (GTAW), pedestal grinders, resistance welder, vise clamps and drills
- Experience with welding all sorts of metal materials
- Have an in depth knowledge of GTAW and other welding practices and equipment
- Ability to follow station planning and read blue prints
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment with ability to operate
- Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to plan and perform difficult work processes
