Job Summary
Must have the ability to layout, fit, and TIG-weld diversified materials in production/job-shop settings; set up equipment, select welding processes and consumables, and maintain quality per prints and specifications. Responsibilities include laying out and positioning material, rigging, tack welding, securing parts with clamps or hoists, maintaining a clean work area, and adapting to different metals/alloys while controlling amps, volts, wire feed, gas flow, and gas mixtures. Requires experience reading blueprints, understanding welding positions, and performing related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED.
- 5+ years of TIG welding experience.
- Ability to pass welding test and certifications to complete the job.
- Experience reading blueprints and weld symbols; geometric tolerancing.
